For shipments outside of the US, you will be responsible for all duties and taxes leveraged by the country your order is shipped to. Since customs and duty costs vary widely throughout the world, we recommend contacting your local customs office for rates prior to ordering. If a package is refused due to the customs fees not being paid, we will be unable to refund you for your shipment.

Care: How should I wash my pants?
Due to our pieces having a Durable Water Repellent application, they will absorb less odor and staining. Thus, they can and should be washed less frequently. When you do need finally need launder them, wash them with like colors, mild detergent and cold water.. Tumble dry low or lay flat. Do not use fabric softener during wash as this may damage the water repellency. Do NOT bleach. Do NOT dry clean.

Shipping: When will I receive my stuff?
It depends on when you back. Super Early Bird and Early Bird rewards will ship in November; all other rewards will ship in December. Any add-ons will ship with the rest of your rewards.

Fabric: What is nylon?
Nylon is a tough, lightweight, synthetic polymer. On these pants, we used Supplex nylon. Supplex nylon is unique in that it has a denser yarn that provides better durability, softer hand-feel, and better flexibility. Our nylon is also Bluesign approved, and is produced sustainably. Fabric: Does the water resistance wear away with washing or is it the property of the fabric?
The Nylon Supplex fabric itself is inherently water-resistant. We then add sustainable C6 DWR that creates surface tension, which makes moisture and stains roll off the fabric (like the coffee in the video.)
The Supplex nylon itself will maintain the same water/stain resistance for its entire life. The C6 DWR will become a little less effective with repeated wears, but exposure to low heat (like in a dryer) will bring the water/stain repellent back to its original effectiveness.

They are both water and stain resistant (coffee, beer, wine, dirt, etc.)! The pants are coated with a DWR nano layer that is both water and stain resistant. They should keep you dry in a light rain and dry quickly as well.

Details: What is an Extendable Hem and how does it work?
The pants are hemmed at 32 inches, rolled and hemmed again at 34 inches. To extend, simply release stitching.

Details: How do the Evolution Pants compare to the AT Slim Rivet Pants that are currently available from Western Rise?
They are different from the AT’s in several ways. First, they fit just slightly looser in the thighs than the ATs, the fit in the waist is the same though. The fabric is more durable but about 100gsm lighter with much more stretch. All pockets are bigger and deeper to accommodate passports and larger phones. They also pack down to about half the size of the ATs. These pants are also made in the USA.

Sizing: Will there be other sizes?
Yes! We reached all of our stretch goals and in addition to offering the standard 32”(extendable to 24”) inseam, we are also offering a “short” version with a 30” inseam and a “tall” version with a 36” inseam (extendable to 38”).
Waist sizes for all inseam lengths are being offered in even sizes 28”-40”.

Sizing: What if my pants don’t fit right?
No worries! If this project is funded, we will be producing additional sizes for exchanges and we will be accepting exchanges in the USA up to 60 days after you received the product. Product will need to be in like-new condition with tags still on for us to make an exchange. *We will not be able to do returns or exchanges in international countries, but will work with you to make sure are happy……

Sizing: Will you be doing a women's cut as well?
We only have Men’s available now.
Unfortunately, we will not be doing a women’s cut of the Evolution Pants during this first production run. Since these pants were originally designed for men, we need to redesign the cut and fit to do as women’s version, and it’s not feasible for us in the time-frame of this campaign.
That being said, we would love to release a women’s version down the road in another production run!

Care: Will the pants shrink or stretch out?
The pants will not shrink, but with extended wear, they way get a touch looser. They will break in like a good pair of raw denim pants. When you wash them, they will return back to their original size.

Lifetime Warranty: Do you have one?
Yes! If your item has a manufacturing defect in its materials or workmanship, you can return it at any time. WESTERN RISE’s warranty doesn’t cover ordinary wear and tear or damage caused by improper use or accidents but we are happy to work with you getting a repair or replacement on a case-by-case basis.

What is your return policy for these pants?
We will do free domestic exchanges if you need a different sizes or colors. Returns will be given the pledge amount in store credit to the Western Rise store (https://westernrise.com). All international pledges are final, once the campaign ends.

I don't see my inseam size listed in the survey — halp!
There are three inseam lengths available in the survey: Short (30”), Regular (32”-34”), Long (36”-38”)
If your inseam is usually 34” then you should select the 23” option in your survey.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
